Your panoramic experience will begin with guided observations of the White House, Lincoln Memorial, and Thomas Jefferson Memorial. Your knowledgeable tour guide will accompany you to each attraction, and provide a 10-15 minute historic commentary as well as photo opportunities. From the memorials, you will gradually advance from Washington, D.C. to Maryland's National Harbor ' an urbane dining and entertainment hub banked on the Potomac River.
At the National Harbor, you will enjoy a stroll along the waterfront, with an opportunity to view the shops, grab a bite (at own expense), and ride the Capital Wheel (admission ticket not included). The Capital Wheel, reaching its maximum height of 180 feet, is known to provide one of the best views of Washington, D.C. and the Potomac River.
Following the National Harbor, you will drive westward across the Potomac River to Virginia's Old Town - Alexandria. The colonial-themed hot spot, consists of more than 200 restaurants and boutiques along its cobblestone main street (King Street), and is considered a destination George Washington himself referred to as 'home.'
Finally, you will visit the US Marine Corps War Memorial (generally known as the Iwo Jima Memorial), and the Air Force Memorial, but not without riding down the scenic George Washington Parkway.
