About 2015 Rock Battle of the Bands Presented By Budweiser
Bride Dressed in Black (BDIB) is a unique and original sounding band blending hip/hop and rock into one thunderous sound.
BDIB has been given rave reviews by such musical dignitaries as: Gary Van Scyoc (John Lennon's bass player), Solomon Silber (owner Wiseman Records, Mike Tarsia (Grammy Award Winning Recording Engineer), Rena Sinakin (Capitol Records & Atlantic Records Artist & Major Label Producer) and Paul Lewis (two time Grammy nominated producer and a member of Realize Records).
BDIB has won multiple “Battle of the Bands” and “Emerging Artist Contests” including: the Unicity Festival of Performing Arts "2010 Emerging Artist Contest" sponsored by Realize Records, and the "Battle 4 Maryland" as part of the "Battle 4 America" sponsored by Black Mountain Records - BDIB finished the "Battle 4 America" ranked number 6th in the nation. BDIB were finalists in the Fast Eddie’s “Battle of the Bands DC” and Fager’s Island’s “Claim to Fame Contest” in Ocean City, MD.
BDIB's first single "Monsters Inside Me" has been featured on 93.5 The Beach (WZBH Ocean City, MD), on KRS One's Temple of Hip/Hop radio program on SHADESRADIO in New York City and on multiple college and internet radio stations.
BDIB played over 300 events since 2010 including: BB Kings Night Club (Nashville, TN), Unicity Festival for the Performing Arts (Salisbury, MD), Summerfest (Hillsborough, NJ), Spirit of Lovefest (Laurel, MD), DelMarVa Bike Week (Ocean City, MD), Fager's Island (Ocean City, MD), Bowe Performing Arts Center (Bowie, MD), GHOP (Waldorf, MD), Brass Monkey Saloon (Baltimore, MD), Hilltop Tavern (Elkton, MD), University of DE (Newark, DE), University of MD Eastern Shore (Pocomoke, MD), Salisbury State University (Salisbury, MD), Delaware State University (Dover, DE), Unifest (Martinsburg, WV) and the Ocean City Convention Center (Ocean City, MD).
BDIB sold over 4,000 copies of their second CD “Different Mothers – Same FATHER!”, over 5,000 copies of the "Black and White" CD and is currenty working on their third CD entitled "Battle the Beast". BDIBs video entitled "Payable on Death" reached 15,000 views in its first 50 hours on youtube.
