Handel's "Messiah": Holiday Classic With the Annapolis Chorale

Handel's "Messiah" -- the composer's monumental celebration of faith and the human experience -- boasts a chorus known by most people, but there's nothing quite like hearing the entire work's soaring grandeur live in person. Performed by the Annapolis Chorale and the Annapolis Chamber Orchestra, this concert takes place in downtown Annapolis' historic St. Anne's Church, whose excellent acoustics should magnify an already transcendent sound. Maestro J. Ernest Green conducts the two ensembles and soloists, including basso cantante Christian Zaremba from the Metropolitan Opera, as well as soprano Ashley Thouret, mezzo-soprano Catrin Davies and tenor Frederic Rey.
