BSO Adapts Children's Book "The Remarkable Farkle McBride" & Plays Kid-Friendly Classics

The Baltimore Symphony Orchestra presents a family concert that celebrates young performers, composers and, most of all, young audiences. Kids will delight in the orchestral adaptation of "The Remarkable Farkle McBride", the lively and lovable children's book from renowned actor John Lithgow. Expect equal parts laughing and learning as Baltimore School for the Arts actors recreate this story of a fickle musical prodigy, bringing the sounds and rhythms of the orchestra to life. This Meyerhoff Symphony Hall concert also includes Lalo's "Symphonie Espagnole", as performed by fifth grader Brandon Du. And little concertgoers are sure to recognize featured classical selections like Rossini's "William Tell Overture" and Rimsky-Korsakov's "Flight of the Bumblebee".
