About Witch Coast
Born out of a shared distaste for societal conventions, unnecessary chords, and literature, Witch Coast has been seducing DC’s occult underbelly with quick and dirty lo-fi pop earworms since 2014. The lean three-piece—featuring Messrs. Jon Weiss, Kevin Sottek and Jordan Sanders—has built a reputation in person and online for their no-nonsense approach to recording (“No Overdubs, No Masters”) and rowdy shows with international touring bands as diverse as Iceage, Porches, OBN IIIs, Bueno, Sitcom, and New Madrid. The Washington City Paper heralded their first EP, Witch Coast for President, as one of the best DC albums of 2014, despite sounding like it was “…possibly recorded on the auditory equivalent of a potato.” Hell yeah. Gearing up for the release of their debut LP, Burnt Out By 3PM out this month on Babe City Records, Witch Coast is poised to step on everything you love, in the best way. Catch them around the East Coast this fall, and stay witchy.
