About Wylder, The Duskwhales, Wild Love

Wylder is an indie-folk band formed in Fredericksburg, VA, in early 2012. With influences including The Head and the Heart, Radical Face, and Death Cab for Cutie, their eclectic arrangements fuse traditional pop elements with a fresh, acoustic sound seldom heard in modern indie folk music. Currently they are hard at work crafting their debut album with industry professionals who have worked with bands such as One Republic, Passion Pit, Modest Mouse and Jukebox the Ghost. With a fast-growing fanbase and memorable live performance, Wylder is making a splash in the independent music scene.

The Duskwhales are an indie rock band of multi-instrumentalists hailing from Northern Virginia. They are comprised of Seth Flynn (vocals, guitar), Chris Baker (drums, vocals, guitar), and Brian Majewski (keyboards, drums, vocals). Longtime bassist Austin Mee left the band in May 2014 to pursue engineering at Virginia Tech. Currently, The Duskwhales are pressing forward as a trio, recording a new album and preparing for a summer tour. Their latest album Swim was released on Silver Seed Records. The Duskwhales also recently released their debut music video to accompany the LP’s lead single and title track “Swim.” Check it out in the link below!

The Duskwhales began in January 2010 and they have been tearing up the local music scene ever since. They have released two LPs and one EP: Swim (2014), Cutpurse (2012), and Martha, Martha (2013). The Duskwhales have performed at a variety of notable venues/events including Jammin Java, Epicure Cafe, Meridian, The Velvet Lounge, Untitled Music Festival 2014, Fest Too 2014, YouthFest 2012. They have shared the stage with acts Car Seat Headrest, Il Abanico, Marie Miller, Koji, The Ready Set, Teen Girl Scientist Monthly, Tiger Waves, and White Laces.
